It is with a deep sense of sadness that we inform you of the passing of our friend and Interim Chairperson, Mrs. Helen P. Blocker.

Mrs. Blocker was a dedicated servant of our community. She was a pioneer in the struggle for social justice and above all she was an extraordinary humanitarian.

Mrs. Blocker loved Hunt’s Point Multi-Service Center, Inc. She was a proud member of the Board of Directors for more than twenty-five years. She helped bring children’s services to the corporation and she partnered with the staff and management of the corporation to make sure that we serve our patients and clients with the respect and dignity they deserve.

Despite illness and physical pain, Mrs. Blocker remained a guiding light until her passing this morning. We will miss her friendship and her steady guidance.
