The Hunts Point Multi-Service Francisco Cotto Crisis Center is a 25 bed (24) hour bilingual (Spanish and English) multicultural Chemical Dependency Inpatient Medically Monitored Withdrawal Treatment
Facility. The program admits persons who are dependant, abusing drugs or are at risk for relapse and in
need of a short term (less than 14 days) controlled managed environment to maintain their sobriety.
Program Services
1. To provide an initial physical assessment of all admitted persons to determine and identify, those persons in need of medically monitored
withdrawal services.
2. To provide continued monitoring of the physical condition of all persons admitted and to ensure their safety during their acute phase of withdrawal
and or chemical intoxication. 3. To provide transportation for those persons in need of medical treatment for both acute and chronic conditions.
4. To provide chemical dependency education and counseling services designed to encourage and motivate individuals to seek ongoing chemical
dependency treatment and rehabilitation services. 5. To provide the persons with NW/Aids, Hepatitis C, Tuberculosis, and STDs preventive education and services. To provide referrals to any confidential antibody testing sites, medical facilities, social service agencies and long-term support counseling services.

Admission
Walk-ins or referrals by Treatment Facilities are welcome.
The admission process begins with a Medical Triage of the Client to establish the Client’s level of care and
needs. The intake includes documentation of medical and psychosocial information and the development of
a Medical Management and Addiction Treatment Plan. Each client is assigned a Primary Counselor. The
Primary Counselor works with the Client and is responsible for the development of the Client’s Treatment
Plan. The Counselors are assisted through Case Conferencing with Medical, Counseling and Supervisory
Staff The goal is to assist Clients through Treatment and place them in appropriate Primary or Aftercare
Treatment Programs.
Staff to Client ratio is 2.59.
